There are some weekends that feel like they were made for a good accessory.
A little crimson, a little tailgate energy, a few friends gathered around a table, something cold in hand, and plenty of reasons to dress up. This September, Brackish is heading to Tuscaloosa for a weekend that brings together everything we love about Southern style: craftsmanship, hospitality, collegiate spirit, and, of course, a little fun.
On September 25 and 26, Brackish will join forces with Tom Beckbe, Jack Rudy Cocktail Co., Turtlebox, and Edmund’s Oast Brewing for a weekend centered around one simple idea: great brands are even better when they come together.
From an exclusive Tom Beckbe pop-up to a University of Alabama tailgate, the weekend will give our community the chance to experience Brackish beyond the screen -and see our Collegiate Collection exactly where it belongs: in the middle of a Southern game day.
Whether you’re joining us in Tuscaloosa or following along from home, here’s everything to know about the weekend.
A Weekend Made for Southern Style
At Brackish, we’ve always believed accessories should feel like more than an afterthought. The right bow tie can become part of a wedding memory. A favorite pair of earrings can make an ordinary dinner feel a little more special. A lapel pin can become the piece everyone asks about.
And on game day? Accessories have a way of doing even more. They become a way to show up for your team, your school, your friends, and the traditions that make college football season so much fun.
That’s exactly what inspired the Brackish Collegiate Collection. Designed around the colors, traditions, and unmistakable personality of college game days, the collection was made for the full calendar of collegiate life - from tailgates and homecoming weekends to alumni events, formals, and those Saturday afternoons that somehow turn into Saturday nights.
Tuscaloosa felt like the perfect place to bring it all to life. And because we’re firm believers that the best gatherings involve more than just shopping, we invited a few friends along for the weekend.
September 25: The Tom Beckbe Pop-Up
We’re kicking things off on Friday, September 25, with a special Brackish presence inside the Tom Beckbe pop-up in Tuscaloosa.
Tom Beckbe has built a name around the same things we value at Brackish: thoughtful design, quality materials, Southern heritage, and products meant to become part of your life rather than simply pass through it.
It makes the collaboration feel particularly natural. For one day, our worlds will meet in a space designed for a little browsing, a little celebrating, and plenty of conversation.
The Custom Plum Thicket Pin Experience
One of the highlights of the pop-up will be a Brackish custom Plum Thicket Pin experience.
Our Plum Thicket Pins are one of those pieces that perfectly capture what makes Brackish special. Each pin begins with a naturally foraged thorn, collected in South Carolina before being transformed by our Charleston artisans into a distinctive accessory.
For the Tuscaloosa pop-up, guests will have the opportunity to experience the craftsmanship and individuality behind these pieces firsthand. From choosing your feathers, to crafting your design, your custom pin will be perfect for jackets, bags, or a Tom Beckbe Field Hat.
Sip & Shop with Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.
Of course, no Southern shopping experience would be complete without something good to sip. Throughout the pop-up, guests can enjoy a Sip & Shop experience featuring Bloody Marys from Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.
Jack Rudy is another brand that understands the art of the gathering. Their approach to cocktails is rooted in quality ingredients, thoughtful details, and the belief that a good drink has a way of bringing people together.
Pair that with a little Brackish shopping and a Tom Beckbe setting, and you have what we consider a pretty ideal Friday afternoon. Come for the accessories. Stay for the Bloody Mary.
An Exclusive Collegiate Shopping Experience
If you’re heading to Tuscaloosa for Parents’ Weekend, consider this your excuse to add a little shopping to the itinerary. The September 25 pop-up will offer an exclusive collegiate shopping experience, giving guests the opportunity to explore Brackish's Alabama-inspired pieces in person.
The Collegiate Collection was designed to make school spirit feel a little more personal. Rather than relying solely on traditional game-day merchandise, Brackish brings its signature handcrafted approach to collegiate style. Think feathered accessories that can make their way from the tailgate to dinner. Pieces that celebrate your school & accessories that will still make sense long after the final whistle.
Because the best collegiate pieces aren't necessarily the ones you only wear on Saturday. They're the ones that become part of your wardrobe.
And Yes, There’s a Giveaway
Because a weekend like this deserves a little something extra. Guests will also have the opportunity to enter a special giveaway featuring four brands that know a thing or two about making weekends better:
Brackish. Tom Beckbe. Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Turtlebox.
Each brings something different to the table, but together, the combination feels distinctly Southern: beautiful things, good drinks, time outside, great music, and a reason to gather. It's less about one particular product and more about the experience surrounding it. The kind of weekend you want to bottle up and keep around for a while.
September 26: Game Day in Tuscaloosa
Then comes Saturday. And if Friday is about easing into the weekend, Saturday is about going all in.
On September 26, Brackish will be at The Quad at the University of Alabama for the Alabama vs. South Carolina tailgate. Our Brackish tailgate tent will be located at 202C, where we'll be bringing the showcasing the Collegiate spirit directly into its natural habitat.
There is something uniquely fun about seeing accessories designed for game day actually being worn on game day. The colors are brighter. The styling is a little bolder. And everyone seems to have a story about how they became an Alabama fan. That's the energy we're bringing to our tent.
Brackish at The Quad
If you've followed Brackish for a while, you know that community has always been a big part of our story. We started with a bow tie made as a groomsmen gift. From there, the brand grew into a collection of handcrafted accessories worn for weddings, celebrations, weekends away, special dinners, and all of the little occasions in between.
The Collegiate Collection is another expression of that same idea. School spirit is personal. It's the school your parents attended. The place where you met your best friends. The campus that still feels like home years after graduation. The Saturday traditions that somehow stay with you long after you've left.
That's what we wanted these pieces to capture. Not just a logo or a color palette, but the feeling.
Sips by Edmund’s Oast Brewing
And because football and refreshments have always been rather good friends, our Saturday tailgate will feature sips from Edmund’s Oast Brewing.
Based in Charleston, Edmund’s Oast Brewing is a particularly fitting partner for Brackish. Both brands call South Carolina home, and both have built their identities around craftsmanship, creativity, and a distinctly local point of view.
Bringing that Charleston connection to Tuscaloosa makes the weekend feel a little closer to home. And, naturally, a little more fun.
More Chances to Win
The Saturday festivities will also include additional giveaway entry opportunities, giving guests another reason to stop by the Brackish tent.
But really, the best part is getting to meet the people who make this community what it is. We love seeing how customers style Brackish in the real world. We love hearing which pieces they've owned for years, which ones they've gifted, and which pieces they’ve been eyeing.
Those conversations are the reason events like this matter. A brand can tell its story online, but there is something entirely different about telling it face-to-face.
Why Tuscaloosa?
It would be easy to say we chose Tuscaloosa because of football. And, well, we did. But it's more than that.
Tuscaloosa represents a particular kind of Southern culture that feels right at home with Brackish. It’s spirited without taking itself too seriously. Traditional but always evolving. Social, welcoming, and deeply connected to the rituals that make a place feel like a place.
That's the same balance we try to bring to our accessories. Classic, but never expected. Handcrafted, but never precious. A little playful, but always polished.
The Brackish Collegiate Collection was designed with that exact spirit in mind.
The Brands Behind the Weekend
What makes this weekend particularly exciting isn't simply that several brands will be in the same place. It's that each brand brings a different piece of the experience.
Together, it becomes something bigger than a shopping event. It becomes a weekend. And that's really what we're after.
What to Wear
If you're wondering how to style your Brackish pieces for Tuscaloosa, our answer is simple: don't overthink it. The best game-day outfits usually have a little personality built in.
For men, start with an Alabama-inspired bow tie or a more understated lapel pin. Pair it with a crisp button-down, lightweight trousers, and loafers. If you're heading straight from the tailgate to dinner, swap in a blazer and you're ready to go.
For women, a drop earring can do most of the work. Add a structured handbag, with a collegiate-inspired bag charm to finish the look.
And remember: game day doesn't require head-to-toe school colors. Sometimes one beautifully chosen accessory is enough. That's the Brackish approach to collegiate style - spirited, but sophisticated.
Featuring: Tom Beckbe, Billy Reid, Allen Edmonds, Ramy Brook, & Labucq
A Little Southern Hospitality, the Brackish Way
Ultimately, this Tuscaloosa weekend is about more than the products. It's about the people.
It's about the Tom Beckbe team opening their doors, Jack Rudy pouring Bloody Marys, Edmund’s Oast keeping the Saturday sips flowing, Turtlebox providing the soundtrack, and Brackish bringing a little Charleston craftsmanship to Alabama.
It's about the parents visiting campus, the alumni returning home, the friends who have been making the same tailgate plans for years, and the first-time visitors who are about to understand why college football in the South is such a thing.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, hopefully, you'll find a Brackish piece that feels like it belongs in your story, too. Because that's always been the goal. To create accessories that don't just finish an outfit - but become part of the occasion.
