On August 21, 2026, Karli & Spencer tied the knot at Marabou Ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Complete with stunning florals, RSVP Ready friends & family, and feathered bow ties, this wedding truly captured magical moments.
We recently had the opportunity to speak with the newlyweds about their wedding. Below is an inside scoop into how their wedding became such a special moment.
How did you & your partner meet?
"Spencer and I meet on a blind date. Spencer owns a few bars/restaurants. One of my friends worked for him and she set us up."
What was your wedding inspiration?
"We had our wedding in Steamboat Springs, so there was a hint of Mountain and Nature; but we really wanted it to have a funky and colorful vibe."
What was one piece of advice you took from wedding planning?
"The best advice I got for wedding planning was that we could make this day anyway we wanted. I think many couples get stuck in the 'This is how things are supposed to be' instead of 'How do we want this day to go'."
What made you feel most confident on your special day?
"We were able to take a few extra days before the wedding with our family, allowing us to take in every moment. Also, knowing that all the planning was done. We had the support in line to have the day go smoothly."
How did you choose your Brackish piece? Was it a personal connection, for the aesthetics, for a unique touch, etc?
"Spencer knew from day one that he wanted to have himself (Jeffery Bow Tie) and the groomsmen show up in Brackish bow ties. He personally selected a different piece for each guy within our colors (Bondurant Bow Tie, Edisto Bow Tie, Dorn Bow Tie), and that is how he asked them to be a groomsman. He had a few pins and other pieces from Brackish, and we loved how the elevated craftsmanship allowed for the guys to stand out."
What story did you hope your wedding day would tell?
"We hope that our wedding day story tells how much fun we have, how much love we receive and appreciation for the mountains."
What detail, big or small, took your breath away when you saw it on the wedding day?
"The cohesiveness from the flowers, bridesmaid’s dresses, groomsmen bow ties, and vibes. Not only was it apparent on the day, but with our amazing photographer - capturing it and reliving it forever with her incredible work."
How did each of you approach choosing your wedding day look? Did you lean into tradition, trend, or something more personal?
"Before Spencer and I were engaged, Spencer knew he wanted a green tux. Knowing that we wanted to have a funky and colorful wedding this was the best jumping off point. We did have traditional elements, but we wanted to make our day feel like us. I believe we absolutely did that with the blend of the traditional men’s & groom’s look of bow tie and cufflinks. The added flare of the matching feathers was almost like an art statement."
What song was a must-have on the wedding day playlist?
"Be Your Man by Augustus. During our time dating, Spencer and I would take date nights to Boulder Co. to see our favorite local band. Augustus has a great blend of easy smooth vocals with a retro flare. One of their songs is called 'Be You Man', and from the moment we heard it we knew that was going to be our song. We were fortunate enough to get in contact with Augustus, and they agreed to be out wedding band. They played acoustic for our ceremony, cocktail hour, mother and groom dance, father and bride dance, and 'Be Your Man' as our first dance. It was so special, and we are blessed to not only have that song play but played live by the band themselves."
Cheers to the Happy Couple
