- To determine belt size is to simply add 2 to your off-the-rack trouser size - if you wear a 36" trouser, purchase a 38" sized belt.

The Story
This panel belt with pheasant buckle is named in honor of Ben's beloved black and tan coonhound, Jack (AKC full registered name - Cypress Shadow Black Jack), who sadly passed in the Spring of 2022. In pondering names for the new Brackish feather panel belt collection, Ben was reminded of an adventure 10 years ago when on a trip to the North Carolina mountains, Jack tracked a scent and ran off into the night. Ben did not hear from the dog for hours until his bark echoed over the top of the mountain. Following the sound, and finding Jack amongst the laurel thickets, the two were charged by a large black bear. In his rush to rescue his dog, Ben realized that he had forgotten to bring a leash with him. Looping his belt through Jack's collar, the two of them went down the mountain with only Jack’s persistent barking holding the bear at bay.
"I got out of there that night because of my hound's dedication to me and a good belt, and that is the reason that the first Brackish belts are named for my loving and loyal hounds."

- Can I remove the buckle and use on another belt?
- Hi Bert, Unfortunately our buckles are not transferrable to another belt blank. We may work on this for the future, but for now it's not possible. Thanks!
- My son wears a 38-40 pant—- what size belt should I get? I did not know how many holes were in the belt. Do not want to order too small! Thanks
