The Story
The black counterpart to the all-white Carew. This black goose feather bow tie is named "Rice" after Carew Rice, a South Carolina artist who used black and white silhouettes to imitate the world around him.

"After receiving my third Brackish tie just prior to the Bennett Hospitality 50th anniversary gala(and Mike’s 70th birthday) I am once again very happy with the tie. Beautiful craftsmanship, and to a lesser degree I don’t have to tie the damn thing! Received one as a gift from my oldest daughter to wear at her wedding a year or so ago. Didn’t know my hands would wind up in Charleston Weddings magazine opening the box! Recently found out the picture is on the wall of the Hotel Bennet also. Free advertising for y’all. - While our bow ties are not self-tie, they include with a hook and adjustable clasp for a seamless experience!
- Is the tie entirely made from feathers or is there some kind of backing that the feathers are attached to?
- The feathers are applied to a satin backing on each of our ties. This is to ensure that the tie is sturdy and that the feathers are protected from rubbing against shirt materials to keep the tie looking pristine.
