Care
We pride ourselves on our work, so we stand behind our products. Brackish Care Commitment protects the feather designs so if the feathers lose their integrity (fray, lift up, flake) we ensure to repair / replace your piece once registered.
If your feathers become damaged, we are happy to offer one complimentary repair / replacement within 2 years of purchase.
If the hardware, in which the feathers are in, tarnishes or breaks within one year of purchase, we will offer a replacement.
Product must be registered to receive our Care Commitment. Register here or submit your repair here and our Customer Service team will respond to you within two business days.
If your product is no longer in our collection and we need to replace the product, we will offer a replacement from our current collection or a gift card of equal value.
Please note, we offer this service for manufacturing / craftsmanship defects. General wear and tear and product misuse is not covered.
If you’d prefer to have your product replaced due to it’s sentimental value instead of choosing a new product or opting for a gift card, there will be a fee to replace it. Contact info@brackish.com for more information.
Please note, this replacement fee is a one time complimentary service and not available for multiple uses. If we no longer have the hardware or feathers, this service is not available.
We are always striving to create, innovate, and improve. Our designs have gone through countless transformations since their inception to maximize functionality and durability. We have developed a proprietary process that enables a functional existence, while still portraying each piece’s natural beauty. Due to the natural characteristics of feathers and to ensure the longevity of our pieces, please follow these recommended tips:
- Avoid contact with sprays, creams, water and makeup.
- Remove product before showering, swimming, or exercising.
- Store in a jewelry box, the wooden box or microfiber suede bag it arrives in.
- If the feathers lose their integrity, spritz the feathers with an alcohol based hairspray 8" away and lay the feathers down gently with one finger brushing in the natural direction of the feathers.
Yes, we can offer a repair / replacement for a fee if we still have the materials to repair / replace the product. Please contact info@brackish.com for more information. A fee will be determined based on need.
If within one year of the original purchase date your jewelry piece tarnishes / stones fall out and we deem it as a manufacturing defect, we will repair / replace at no additional cost. Please submit your claim here and our Customer Service team will respond to you within two business days.

General
Brackish was founded on the notion of ‘repurposing the beauty of nature’ and we still stand by that. No bird has been harmed for their feathers. Brackish obtains all feathers as humanely as possible. When birds molt, they lose old feathers naturally in preparation for new feathers. When possible, the feathers are obtained in this manner. In other instances, feathers are obtained through farmers who raise free range birds. The feathers are usually thrown away as a waste product, but Brackish sustainably reuses them. We wholeheartedly believe in respectfully repurposing nature.
All of our products are designed in our Charleston, SC studio and all feathered pieces are handcrafted by our artisans in our studio.
E-Gift cards and physical gift cards can be redeemed online and/or at our studio in Charleston, SC. All gift card sales are final and are not eligible for a return of any kind.
Note - Gift cards cannot be redeemed or returned for cash value, reloaded with additional value, resold, or transferred for value, except where required by law. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. No sales tax will be applied to the purchase of a gift card. Brackish will not replace lost or stolen gift cards without satisfactory proof of purchase.

Yes, we do! To send an order with gift wrapping, select “Gift Wrap” on the product page, enter your gift message if desired, and we’ll do the rest. If you’re sending an order directly to a gift recipient, please note that the shipping label will specify that your order has been sent from Brackish. Don’t forget to include a gift note so your recipient knows who sent it.

Each piece is crafted with natural feathers. There may be subtle variations in color, size and shape, which make every piece distinct and one-of-a-kind.
Yes, indeed you can. The bow tie neck strap is adjustable from 13” to 21.” If you are interested in placing an order for a larger or smaller neck strap please contact our Customer Service team.
We do offer children’s bow ties in any of our men’s bow tie designs. The reduced size is 3" wide and 1.75" long and the lead time is 3-4 weeks. Please email info@brackish.com to order.

Yes, Brackish offers a variety of fabric options to change the center wrap or we can use a fabric you provide. Please contact our Customer Service team to place an order for a wrap change for an additional fee.
We're aware of and respect the classic self tie bow, however, we take pride in disrupting those traditions, mostly because a self tie feather bow is nearly impossible due to its construction.
Yes! Each Brackish cuff has been intentionally designed to protect the feather craftsmanship. Though firm, each is adjustable. To size the cuff to your wrist, clasp your hand around the hardware and gently apply pressure. To make the cuff larger, place fingers on either side of the opening and tug gently to make the opening a bit wider.
Returns & Exchanges
We offer a 30 day return and exchange policy on all orders purchased directly from Brackish. (30 days from the date of purchase). No exceptions. All returns must be approved by our Quality Control Department before a refund can be issued. If the product shows signs of wear, we cannot issue a return. Refunds on shipping costs, gift wrapping, promotional items or box engraving are not available.
Unfortunately, because of customs and tariff issues, Brackish cannot provide complimentary return shipping for international orders. Nonetheless, we will be happy to work with you to find an efficient way of returning the product. If an international order is returned and duties and/or fees are due at the time of delivery, this will be deducted from the refund amount. Shipping & Tracking
We have various shipping methods and costs depending on the preference of delivery time. Shipping costs for orders placed with an expedited shipping method or outside of the Continental United States will be calculated based on the weight of the package, shipping location, and other UPS charges.
We are aware that mistakes may be made by third party shipping providers. If this occurs, it is out of our control. We will do everything we can to rectify the situation, but we are not responsible for any lost packages due to mistakes made by shipping providers.
Please allow up to 3 to 5 days for processing on all orders placed using our Standard shipping option. Due to higher demand during the holiday season, please allow more time to ensure that your order arrives on time. All expedited orders will be processed for shipment the next business day. You will receive a tracking number along with your shipping confirmation email once the order has been processed and shipped.
“Made to order” means the product is not in stock and is being made to your specific order and requires an additional 1 - 2 week lead time. Once created, your order will ship in full via your selected shipping service. “Add to cart” means the item is in stock and will ship next business day via your selected shipping service.
This service will require 2 weeks to complete and is not available for express shipping. To add additional embroidered products, please add to cart individually to proceed with your next customized item. Embroidery is non-refundable.
Custom box engraving is available on all pine boxes. This service will require at least 7 business days to complete and is not available for express shipping. Box engraving is non-refundable.
Due to international regulations we are unable to ship all feathered pieces outside of the United States. A list of all products that are available for international shipping can be found here. All orders shipping internationally are subject to additional shipping charges based on taxes, tariffs, and duties placed by the recipient's country. Brackish is not associated with these fees. All fees are paid for by the customer at the time of delivery.
All domestic orders ship through UPS and USPS. UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes or military APO/FPO addresses. USPS provides both of these services.
Each Brackish order ships from our fulfillment center in Charleston, SC. Orders are fulfilled and shipped Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm EST, excluding holidays.
Brackish offers 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air shipping options. Expedited shipping methods are processed for shipment the next business day. We recommend putting a comment in the special instructions box during checkout and we will be speedy on getting your order out per your preferred shipping method. Please note, while we’d like to guarantee your package to arrive per the shipping method selected, Brackish is not responsible for third party shipping delays as these are out of our control.
Brackish offers a local pick up option to customers in the surrounding Charleston area. All orders should be picked up from our studio located at 1854 Wallace School Road, Suite B, Charleston, SC 29407. Pickups can be made Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm EST. When your order is ready for pickup our customer service team will reach out to you.
