For our co-founder Ben, that story begins on his Nana and Pop’s porch in Greenwood, South Carolina, where sweet tea flowed, hummingbirds danced, and the air carried the soft fragrance of Tea Olive, Gardenia, and Magnolia. On Ben’s wedding day, he honored his Nana’s legacy with a Gardenia and Tea Olive corsage, a small yet meaningful tribute she cherished for the rest of her life. Now, with the debut scent from our Legacy Candle Collection, we hope to share that same warmth, comfort, and timeless connection with you. Because the best memories aren’t just remembered - they’re felt.

Created with intention by Brackish, each candle is more than fragrance; it’s a sensory heirloom designed to evoke the echoes of the past while grounding you in the present. 

Each scent is rooted in Brackish’s ethos: honoring the intersection of natural landscapes and cultural legacy. In collaboration with fellow Charleston based company, Candlefish, each candle is designed for those who live intentionally - those who understand that scent can transport, transform, and endure.

All Brackish accessories are handcrafted in Charleston, S.C. and take between 4-5 hours to complete. Every feather is hand selected by our artisans, making no two pieces exactly alike.

We pride ourselves on our work, so we stand behind our products. Brackish Care Commitment protects the feather designs so if the feathers lose their integrity (fray, lift up, etc) we ensure to repair your piece once registered.
