Accessories of the American West

We recently launched our 2024 Fall Collection that is inspired by Wyoming. From rolling hills, to waterways, to timeless family memories, this collection speaks to the overall Brackish brand. Adding to our men’s line, we launched new bow ties, plum thicket pins, pocket squares, cufflinks, and belts. For our women’s line, we curated a new line of earrings, cuffs, and necklaces

Having the opportunity to discuss design for this new 2024 Fall Collection with our designer, Bryn, provided a glimpse into how each piece was meticulously curated. From pairing warm tones, to creating a bold sense of flair, to combining saturating colors to craft striking patterns and textures, each piece from this collection pays homage to the fall atmosphere of the western world.

The standout of the collection are the blue pieces, which includes the Sheridan Statement Earring, the Tower Junction Bow Tie, the Pathfinder Pocket Square, the Arvada Stud Earring, and the Colter Bay Crescent Earring. These pieces allowed our artisans the opportunity to use a rarely used feather in the Brackish collection - the peacock mini wing. The navy blue feather showcases striking green and aqua underlying tones. Complemented by goose feathers, the blue pieces are a statement within itself.

The main color used within this 2024 Fall Collection is copper. The main use of this color is showcased in products crafted with the turkey feather. The new necklace styles: the New Fork Necklace and the Shoshone Necklace, are a keen example of how this feather is simplified; but can be used in a striking pattern. Master Artisan: Thomas, created a woven pattern effect with these feathers to showcase the copper within beloved pendant necklace statements styles.

This 2024 Fall Collection allows more products to showcase the copper turkey feather, which has typically not been a main feature of pieces in the past. This allows for a more neutral and fall toned collection. Paired with goose and quail, pieces such as the Savageton Bow Tie, the Kemmerer Plum Thicket Pin, and the Sussex Pocket Square, became a crafted to coordinate collection. The fluff of the goose feather and intriguing pattern of the quail feather allows for a playful atmosphere, while the copper turkey feather maintains a sophisticated look. These pieces have already been a crowd favorite.

Another feather that showcased the copper tones is the partridge feather, which was heavily used in the women’s line. Pieces such as the Sand Draw Fan Earring, the Wind Bar Bracelet, the Casper Bar Necklace, the Boysen Drop Earring, the Phelps Thin Cuff, the Dunoir Multi Bezel Hoops, and the Hulett Stud Earring, are simple and sophisticated. These pieces elevated an outfit without being flashy, which is perfect to make an effortless statement.

Wanting to stay within the fall jewel tones, rust is another standout color featured heavily in this 2024 Fall Collection. Pairing rust with many types of featherways allowed for an intricate design that perfectly portrayed fall. These pieces include the Wapiti Bow Tie, the Taggart Drop Earring, the Jackson Bar Necklace, the Kaycee Circle Earring, the Creston Plum Thicket Pin, and the Farson Fan Earring. Crafted from goose, partridge, pheasant, and rooster feathers, these pieces are a jack of all trades. The featherways and bold design is an immediate head-turner for your fall attire.

For fall, Brackish went Beyond the Feather, and introduced new additions to our existing Lionfish Collection, which is in partnership with Inversa Leathers. Adding to our Lionfish blue pieces, the Kirwin Cufflinks in Rhodium are the first Lionfish pieces within the men’s collection. Also new, our Hanna Fan Earrings which is a new style for this material collection. A simple, yet unique, piece that can pair well with a blue or tan suit that is perfect for winter wear.  Staying on trend with rust, a new colorway of Lionfish Leather has been introduced. The Orin Stud Earring, the Nowood Thin Cuff, and the Afton Multi Bezel Hoops are elevating your environmental impact in style.

Trend Forecast: Greens and Browns. A crowd favorite since launching this collection has been pieces that resemble the nature around us. The Moorcroft Bow Tie has been popular among nature enthusiasts. Like to match? Another crowd favorite for the ladies has been the Laramie Wide Cuff, which is an impressive standalone piece; but it also makes for a great stacking moment with the Laramie Thin Cuff. Other pieces in this colorway are the Alcova Drop Earring and the Greys Bar Necklace.

You asked, we delivered. Three new belt styles have been curated for this collection. Mainly used as a men’s belt, women can also style these pieces by wrapping it around a dress or skirt. Stay on trend with a long, white flowy skirt, cowboy boots, and a unique feather belt to make your bold statement. The Copper Canyon, the Gold Edisto River Shad, and the Gunmetal Edisto River Shad are the best pieces for everyday wear and to make an outfit seem more casual while still standing out from the crowd.

No outfit out west is complete without a cowboy hat. We recommend adding some flair to your hat with one of our Plum Thicket Pins. We were lucky to feature hats, provided by Marsh & Magnolia, in our recent 2024 Fall Collection photoshoot to showcase how a traditional lapel pin can be used as a hat pin. We tip our hats to everyone rocking this western style.

Adding onto our Western theme, we were heavily inspired by our feature in Yellowstone, where Gil Birmingham was featured in one of our handcrafted Twilight Plum Thicket Pin. This Plum Thicket Pin features peacock and guinea feathers, which is the perfect pop of bold color onto any jacket or hat. We personally believe these Plum Thicket Pins would add flair to a traditional denim jacket or a cowboy hat - adding style to traditional western wear.
